If you ever decide to possibly program for a type of game console, I'd suggest the Xbox360. And the other alternative to that would be the PC.

The ps3 is basically an entire new universe to discover. (Why couldn't it be more like the Dreamcast?!!)

As for the Wii, it was ratehr cheap to develop for, in comparison to the 360 and PS3, that is.

So its internal kit ought to be simplistic, but I can't say for sure.

WII HOMEBREWS INSTALLERS!

I'm sure you guys have heard of it!!

Y'know, the whole backup your games deal.

While it may seem like a grand idea, a word of catuion.

It's not spondered by the game companies themselves. But I know people are going to look and be curious so...

There are places like this and this that have services that help you backup your games and data and turn your Wii into a DVD player of sorts but only do so at your own risk.

Yet on the other hand, if anything happened to the actual copy of your game, like if you decide to experiment with viewing the game disc folder's contents on your computer for any images or just any easter eggs and your dvd drive blew the disc up into tiny little pieces (yes, this has happened to me before. and because of it, i can no longer start a new game with FF7. guess which disc i put in the computer... i just did it out of curiosity to see what i could find and BOOM) then having a backup for your game may seem handy. Especially since you have proof that you actually owned a bought hardcopy of the original title.

There are many other servicing sites like the Hombewinstaller and BreWii but, since I know Wii owners are going to be so tempted, I'd advise, if you ever get curious about something like this, do so at your own risk. It'd be your own choice! Remember that!

I read somewhere that you can't update your Wii if you use programs like that.

The Wii's an ok system tho. It has great innovation but, I'd say the PC and 360 have it beat.

Intro and GAME TESTER SITE REVIEWS!!

Hi!! My name is Mel, also known as Meru.

I'm a girl gamer and have been since I was 7 years old in the 2nd grade with A Sega Genesis and Sonic 2.

And 17 years later... ^^;

What I'm here for is to help out those interested to know more about games, how to break into the working world with games (that I know of), and other tips and things that's important to know.

So, let's get started!

First, I figured it's best to do a review on some game testing sites. But just to let you know, these types of jobs include (varied) hours upon hours of playing through the same level over and over or recreating a particular glicth over and over so that the developers know exactly how to fix this problem. ^^; Don't want to play the finished product and casually get stuck in a wall or in mid jump animation (Like in Assassin's Creed. Still love the game tho. With all the glitches. Great game, by the way. Repetative, but great).

The first one that caught my attention that gets a lot of attention is Only4Gamers.

First off, I'd like to say that this site's presentation is very inviting and very easy to get hyped about!!

But looks aren't everything, (as many of us gamers have realized that a game with breathtaking smooth graphics can have horrible gameplay and replay value. coughocoughunlimitedsagacoughcoughff12coughcough) so, delving deeper, this gives helpful information you need to know.

They charge a one time fee, that's a few singles over 20 bucks, so it's easily affordable. At least now it is. They're able to change their minds at anytime, I'm sure so, go check it out!!

The second site that caught my attention was Video Game Tester- Gamer Testing Ground.

Eh. With so much information it has, it basically can speak for itself. But I'm not too crazy about the reoccuring membership fees.

But it's only to make sure that you find a job with those guys. Once you do, you don't have to keep paying the fees unless you just feel like it or enjoy the provided guides so much. ^^;

There's a FAQ on the site as well to help reassure you. But mreh. They're still helpful.
